Island Bakeries win Christmas 6-a-side!
Island Bakeries were victorious in our first one-day event as they defeated local rivals Ryde in the final to win the DiceSport Christmas 6-a-side.
Ryde captain, Stuart Robertson, hit 30 from just 15 balls, but Harry Wratten (12) was the only other batsmen in double figures as Ryde were kept to 56-2, wickets for Nick Rudd (1-10) and Kieran Annis (1-11).
In reply, Island Bakeries lost wickets at regular intervals, slipping to 28-3 and 46-4, but Matt Webb's 17 was crucial, along with an unbeaten 10* from Tom Wells as they won by 2 wickets with 5 balls to spare.
